About Rika

A few words about me

I was born in Greece but I spent many of my childhood years in Germany, where I became accustomed with the German Language and culture. At the age of eight, I returned to Greece and after my high school graduation in 2004, I studied German Language and Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. My four-year bachelor education was followed by my master’s degree in European studies with a focus on European history and culture, in Catholic University of Leuven, in Belgium. After the completion of my studies, I returned to Greece, where I worked as a German language teacher in the private sector.

In June 2017, I moved to Melbourne and since January 2018 I work as a Greek language teacher at St. Anargiri Greek Language Centre, where I teach classes in both primary and secondary level. Additionally, I am studying at Swinburne University of Technology, doing the Masters of Teaching in Secondary Education, in order to become a licensed teacher in Victoria.
